Hodgson-Lindberg Training Center

1937

current

Built in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the Training Center is the crown jewel of Wind River buildings.  For decades, Forest Service staff came here from across the Northwest to be trained in everything from fighting fires to ranger duties.  Photos of the participants from many of these sessions decorate the walls, providing a glimpse into the past. The Training Center is now available to rent for meetings and small events. For information, contact us at:

Although the Training Center is in fairly good condition, we have been working to address some immediate needs, including:

  • replace furnace and upgrade duct work

  • modify upstairs railing to a safe height

  • paint exterior

  • evaluate chimney & fireplace condition

  • replace roof

  • upgrade accessibility ramp
