Upcoming Project:

District Ranger’s House Restoration

The first residence that we will restore is the District Ranger’s House. This is where the “boss” lived from the time it was built in 1942 until 1991. This house was one of the last buildings constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Wind River. Its design was by U.S. Forest Service architect William “Tim” Turner, who was known for the distinctive “Cascadian” architectural style used in many CCC buildings. Turner also designed Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood.
